Strasbourg’s gone Tour de France crazy. This year the race, which begins on Saturday, starts in the centre of Strasbourg. For the last six months we’ve seen workmen resurfacing all the streets to be carpet-smooth, public buildings have been repainted, flowers have been planted and signs erected. Dream house – nightmare commute

Picnic in the French countryside
